Needle sleeves are open on both sides and are supplied with needle roller or full needle. Bearings with needle rings allow higher speeds than full-needle designs.

Due to the maximum number of needle rollers, full-needle needle sleeves have the highest load capacity in the smallest possible space. Their use at high speeds is limited.

Since the needles are not held mechanically, the needle rollers are secured with a special grease for transport and assembly (DIN 51825-K1 / 2K-30). However, this has only an insufficient permanent lubrication effect. Therefore, relubrication is recommended after installation.
